I'm hoping this is easy for someone

There are two cigarette power outlets in the boot area

I have fused one of these by sticking a screwdriver in it - (It's a long story and yes I am a pillock!)

I definately heard a quiet 'pop' towards the front of the car

However, having checked all the fuses next to the steering wheel, I can't find where this 'pop' (i assume the fuse) is

The adjacent lighter socket still works

Can you help me

Thought I read somewhere that they are under the passenger seat

Aye, on a 99 it is under the driver's seat usually and will be a 15 amp. It may be under a bit of tape if it has not ever been changed before.

I'm having a similar problem with a 98 galaxy, I think it's a mk1. Essentially the permanently powered cigar/power socket in the boot is working as is the one at the front. However the socket which I assume should come on with the ignition in the boot s dead. Any idea which fuse I should be checking. Fuse 8 is showing as a windscreen wiper, and there appears to be nothing under the driver seat.

thanks
